Junior Achievement (JA) of Newfoundland and Labrador is a registered charity with a mission to inspire and prepare youth to succeed. JA provides youth with opportunities to learn financial literacy, prepare for the workplace, and develop entrepreneurial skills. We are building our team and seeking a self-starting, results-oriented and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about youth education to join us.
The Program Liaison will be accountable for the coordination of some JA programs. The scope of this positon is varied and may include: volunteer development; liaising with schools and the business community; conducting presentations; building and nurturing relationships with JA partners; ensuring program quality and best practices; collecting and managing program data; and other organizational duties, as needed. Periodic evening work and/or provincial travel may be required.
Qualifications and Skills: We are looking for a degree in social sciences, business, education and/or equivalent education and experience. You must have excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written); be keenly aware of youth matters, specifically related to entrepreneurship, financial literacy and workforce readiness; and have strong knowledge of the economy and relationship management. Strong technical skills including MS Suite and CRM (Salesforce) use is a definite asset. Knowledge of the not-for-profit sector, experience managing programs, working with volunteers and marketing skills are assets.
