JA Alumni Network holds first event

The JA Newfoundland and Labrador Alumni Network recently offered its first event, Reconnect, with the goal of reengaging with past Company Program achievers and garnering their input on what the future of the Network should hold.

The event featured Company Program Alumni Glenn Bolger and Kathleen O’Dea sharing their JA stories and what they have been up to in their careers since completing the JA program. They were followed by an inspiring presentation on staying motivated from Eni-Oto Familusi, a past JA Newfoundland and Labrador staff member and volunteer. The group was then joined by JA board secretary, past Company Program advisor and longtime JA champion Bonnie Donovan who spoke about her career, managing career transitions and effective leadership.

We were fortunate to have alumni tuning in from across Canada, excited to share their favourite JA memories and bursting with ideas for how to best develop the Network. The aim of the Alumni Network is to keep past Achievers up to date with happenings at JA and to provide opportunities for personal and professional development, networking, and mentorship through newsletters, events, seminars, and more.
